WASHINGTON - Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist loves a good mystery - he even wrote one - and so maybe he's just teasing us. Or perhaps the 80-year-old chief justice has been overly optimistic about his recovery from thyroid cancer and has been forced to shift his plans a couple of times.
