ABA Answers Justice's Call to Work Toward Sentencing Reforms

Reporter's Notebook By Don J. DeBenedictis Reacting quickly to a call by U.S. Supreme Court Justice Anthony M. Kennedy that the American Bar Association work to abolish mandatory minimum sentences and reduce overlong criminal sentences, incoming ABA President Dennis W. Archer announced Monday that he will form a special commission to tackle the problems Kennedy raised.
