A San Francisco federal judge on Thursday dismissed a proposed class action against Facebook Inc. that claimed the social networking site misused customers' names and likenesses in promoting its Friend Finder service.
Plaintiffs alleged they should have been consulted and paid before Facebook used their names and profile pictures to recruit their friends to the service.
