The amount of polluted waterways in California is higher than previously estimated, according to a federal Environmental Protection Agency list released Tuesday.
Due to increased water monitoring, the number of rivers, streams and lakes that will need to clean up pollution increased by 170 percent from 2006, according to the EPA. More than half of the state's 3 million acres of lakes, bays, wetlands and estuaries do not meet...
