Jurist Denies Marijuana Co-op's Plea
SAN JOSE - The operators of Santa Cruz's medical marijuana cooperative will not be getting their pot back. In a ruling filed Tuesday, U.S. District Judge Jeremy Fogel said he is bound by precedent to deny the cooperative's bid for the 167 marijuana plants seized by the federal Drug Enforcement Administration during a September raid.
