Justices Split on Decryption Suit

SAN FRANCISCO - Just because it's the World Wide Web doesn't mean cybersuits can be filed anywhere someone takes offense. In a major ruling Monday, a divided state Supreme Court held that civil actions cannot be brought in California against out-of-state residents merely because they posted information on the Internet that allegedly harmed the entertainment and computer industries in Hollywood and the Silicon Valley.
