Consulting firm wins $10.2 million award from LAUSD

Harris Education Consulting, Inc., won a $10.2 million arbitration award last Thursday after a JAMS panel concluded that Harris had not breached its contract with the district to implement a new student technology system.

Harris Education Consulting Inc. last week won a $10.2 million arbitration award from the Los Angeles Unified School District.

The dispute arose from an agreement between LAUSD and Harris for the implementation of Harris's "SchoolMAX" software system, designed to help the district centralize school records.
