Appeals court upholds move to limit effects of air pollution on people in urban areas

A state appellate court has upheld the Bay Area Air Quality Management District's move to limit the effects of air pollution on people living in and around new urban developments.

A state appellate court has upheld the Bay Area Air Quality Management District's move to limit the effects of air pollution on people living in and around new urban developments.

The 1st District Court of Appeal reversed a trial court ruling that held the air district should have conducted an environmental review of guidelines it created to ensure developers analyze and reduce high levels of pollution near new projects.
