Lawyers Are Witness to Tech Firms' Brief Life Cycle

SAN FRANCISCO - Securities lawyers who relished the role of giving birth to companies are now playing the role of undertaker. It's no secret that initial public offerings, a company's first offering of stock to the public, are scarce. The dark underbelly of that fact is that the lawyers who once delighted in doing IPOs for clients are increasingly helping those same companies become delisted from the Nasdaq stock exchange.
