Jury Awards Port Trucker $13.9 MIllion

A jury awarded the damages to a port truck driver injured in an accident at the Port of Long Beach that his lawyers argued was one of several caused by a lack of drug and alcohol tests for dock workers.

A state court jury last week awarded $13.9 million to a truck driver who suffered severe spinal injuries when a 25,000-pound container fell and crushed his truck at the Port of Long Beach.
