In-house legal departments succeeded at cutting overall spending during the height of the recession - in most cases at the expense of outside counsel - according to a report released Tuesday by Hildebrandt Baker Robbins.
The consulting firm reported spending on outside counsel dipped by 5 percent in the U.S. and 6 percent worldwide between 2008 and 2009, most notably on non-litigation...
