Order Has Collateral Estoppel Effect on Ethical Breach Issue

Aguilar & Sebastinelli, 2003 DJDAR 12988 (Nov. 25, 2003), should serve as a cautionary tale for attorneys confronted with the prospect of being disqualified from a representation. In A.I. Credit, the 1st District Court of Appeal held that a law firm disqualified from a representation for violating an ethical obligation is not entitled to payment for the services that it rendered.
