In-House Counsel Leery of Hourly Billing

A recent survey found that cost concerns play a key role in the firing decisions of general counsel and that 59 percent of companies polled have fired or considered firing their outside counsel this year.

        A recent survey found that cost concerns play a key role in the firing decisions of general counsel and that 59 percent of companies polled have fired or considered firing their outside counsel this year.
        But law firms can appease many cost-conscious companies with alternative billing methods, the researchers say.
