SAN FRANCISCO - Retired judge Alfred Chiantelli got his first taste of the law from Catholic school, more specifically from Sister Mary Veronica.
In student court in the seventh grade, Chiantelli represented a classmate who had been accused of trying to strike the nun. Chiantelli got the job because his "client" spoke Italian, and Chiantelli was the only other student who knew the language....
