State Bar Seeks to Rank Schools by Diversity

A State Bar panel says U.S. News & World Report should count diversity as 15 percent of a law school's rankings.

A State Bar group Friday released its formal proposal asking U.S. News & World Report to factor diversity into the magazine's rankings of law schools.


The bar wants diversity to count for as much as 15 percent of each law school's score, a request that could prove a problem for some schools.
