Strip Searches Will Get Airing

The U.S. Supreme Court agreed Monday to weigh whether the Fourth Amendment allows jail officials to conduct a strip search whenever an individual is arrested, even when the arrest is for minor offenses.


WASHINGTON - The U.S. Supreme Court agreed Monday to weigh whether the Fourth Amendment allows jail officials to conduct a strip search whenever an individual is arrested, even when the arrest is for minor offenses. The case is out of the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. Florence v. Board of Chosen Freeholders of the County of Burlington, 10-945.
