Tax Dispute Mars Gift to Colleges

The county of Los Angeles and two attorneys and their firms, including Bryan Cave, have been sued by the Regents of the University of California and the Santa Monica Community College District for failing to tell the schools that they did not have to pay taxes on property bequeathed to them.
