California Senate Approves Child Support Reform

SACRAMENTO - The Senate overwhelmingly approved a proposal to overhaul California's child support system Thursday, but Republican dissenters won a promise from Democratic leader John Burton that he'll consider revising his bill to allow district attorneys to retain some role in the collection process.
