Retired Judge Goes on Offensive

The Los Angeles County grand jury that indicted a retired judge for allegedly covering up a prisoner's escape was not told by prosecutors that their star witness, a fellow deputy district attorney, has a "deep-seated hatred" for the jurist, defense attorneys alleged Wednesday in court papers.
