Student loan debt on the rise as law schools fight off critics

Students who graduated from private law schools last year had nearly $125,000 in education debt on average - a 17.6 percent jump from the year before - according to new figures from the American Bar Association.

Students who graduated from private law schools last year had nearly $125,000 in education debt on average - a 17.6 percent jump from the year before - according to new figures from the American Bar Association.


Meanwhile, the debt load of public law school graduates went up 10 percent to $75,728, the ABA data indicates.
