Attorneys awarded $3.2 million in case against OC jails

Three law firms that have been battling Orange County for a decade to make jails more accessible to handicapped inmates should receive $3.2 million in fees and costs, a federal judge has ruled.

SANTA ANA - Three law firms that have been battling Orange County for a decade to make jails more accessible to handicapped inmates should receive $3.2 million in fees and costs, a federal judge has ruled.


The decision follows a June ruling in the inmates' favor.


"This was a legally and factually complex ADA case ... that Plaintiffs resoundingly won," U.S. District Judge...
