Veteran L.A. judge becomes neutral

Jacqueline A. Connor said she left the bench because budget cuts made her job increasingly difficult. Now she's a neutral at ADR Services Inc.

Jacqueline A. Connor, a 25-year veteran of the Los Angeles bench, said she left because the continuing state budget crisis interfered with her ability to do her job.


"I loved being a judge," said Connor, 60, who officially retired Thursday and has joined ADR Services Inc. as a mediator. "But the practice has changed."
