A federal bankruptcy judge approved the removal of the Howrey estate from a pair of decade-old discrimination class actions filed on behalf of Hispanic farmers against the federal government.
Allan B. Diamond, the trustee for the now-defunct Howrey LLP, said rescinding the client contracts would facilitate the estate's collection of attorney fees if the Hispanic farmers received any rewards.
