U.S. Justices Tackle Age Bias at Work

WASHINGTON - With age discrimination claims climbing as recession-hit workers lose their jobs, the U.S. Supreme Court waded into the debate Tuesday over what kind of evidence employees need to provide to prove they have suffered such discrimination.

The justices appeared inclined to reach a narrow decision, but it's not yet clear whether plaintiffs or defendants would benefit.
