Plaintiffs in new Dukes suit want to share confidential documents from original case

Plaintiffs in the new Dukes case want to share confidential documents from the original suit with other female Wal-Mart employees. Wal-Mart claims that would violate the privacy rights of the women who are no longer part of the case.

SAN FRANCISCO - As part of the discovery process in the original Dukes v. Wal-Mart case, the retail giant provided plaintiffs with millions of confidential documents, including payroll and personnel data and sensitive business information such as pay guidelines and diversity benchmarks.
