LA presiding judge delivers state of court address

Judge David S. Wesley told attendees on Wednesday that the court has no choice but to move forward with $85 million in budget cuts, saying "the day of reckoning has arrived."

Los Angeles County Superior Court Presiding Judge David S. Wesley on Wednesday said court leaders have no choice but to impose $85 million in planned budget cuts before July 1, saying the "day of reckoning has arrived."

He did not reveal any new details regarding the cuts in his remarks, delivered during the annual "State of the Court" address.
