Augusta Policy Banning Women May Be Unlawful

Focus Column - Employment Law - By Michelle A. Reinglass - Much has been written about workplace discrimination. However, bias in nonemployment settings also exists but receives less fanfare. That changed in 2002, when Martha Burk, leader of the National Council of Women's Organizations, became a vocal antagonist of Hootie Johnson, the chairman of the Augusta National Masters Tournament.
