Calming Presence in Courtroom

LOS ANGELES - Lawyers remember the case Debra Yang prosecuted in 1994 like it was yesterday. A man had kidnapped and sexually assaulted a Castaic real estate saleswoman after meeting her under the guise of looking for a house. The defendant, Timothy Shue, bound and gagged the woman and raped her repeatedly for three days while driving from California to Arizona. Authorities believed it was only the woman's clever survival skills that kept her alive.
