SAN FRANCISCO - Trial judge Ronald Lisk of Santa Clara County Superior Court didn't have his heart in it as he told ex-con Daniel John Nagy that acting as his own lawyer on an auto theft charge might be a mistake.

        It was the judge who blundered.
        Nagy tried to fire his attorney during a hearing pursuant to People v. Marsden
