Panel Agrees Daughter Misled Mom to Change Estate

A recent appellate opinion reveals how family members can turn on each other when love and money is on the line. In a published ruling, the 1st District Court of Appeal affirmed a trial-court determination that a daughter misled her mentally and physically ill mother and unduly influenced her to rearrange her estate plan in a way that largely excluded another daughter and her children from receiving assets.
