Justices Will Review Kansas Death-Penalty Law
WASHINGTON - The U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday agreed to decide the constitutionality of Kansas' death-penalty law. The justices will review a divided Kansas Supreme Court ruling that the state's death-penalty statute was unconstitutional on its face because it allowed a defendant to receive a death sentence in a case in which the aggravating and mitigating circumstances were of equal weight.
