Cooley Wins Outside Counsel

LOS ANGELES - The county Board of Supervisors on Tuesday unanimously approved a request by District Attorney Steve Cooley and Assessor Rick Auerbach to hire a lawyer to challenge a 2002 voter-approved law that limits them to three terms in office.

LOS ANGELES - The county Board of Supervisors on Tuesday unanimously approved a request by District Attorney Steve Cooley and Assessor Rick Auerbach to hire a lawyer to challenge a 2002 voter-approved law that limits them to three terms in office.
        Chief Deputy County Counsel Donovan Main said that, after an outside counsel is selected, an application to review the case will be filed with the state attorney general's office.
