Verdict Form Gives Clues for Strategies in U.S. Death Case

SANTA ANA - After the jury deadlocked on giving two kingpins of the violent Aryan Brotherhood prison gang the death penalty, a prosecutor and defense attorney agreed that the reason Tyler Davis Bingham received eight votes for a life sentence compared to only three for Barry Byron Mills was the tearful testimony of Bingham's three sons pleading for their father's life.
