DA tactical teams: Justified or mission creep?

Some district attorney investigation bureaus' maintenance of tactical entry teams is called into question: is it necessary, or a breeding ground for excessive force?

On the morning of July 31, 2015, the teenage son of Dean Poe, an executive at Santa Clara Waste Water Co., opened the door of his house to what looked like a SWAT team. Photos of the incident show helmeted officers in bulletproof vests, guns drawn, just before they removed Poe and his family from their home while they searched the premises.

Poe wasn't a suspected drug dealer and had not been charged with a violent crime. The raid was simply to recover documents from his business. ...
