Tobacco Price-Fixing Argument Fails
The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday rejected an antitrust appeal by a California smoker who argued that cigarette prices were sky-high thanks to a price-fixing scheme put in place by the landmark 1998 settlement between leading tobacco companies and 46 states.
