Conti Breaks Judicial Service Record

U.S. Senior District Judge Samuel Conti surpassed the record for longest-sitting judge on the Northern District bench, beating out the district's first judge who died in 1891.

SAN FRANCISCO - U.S. Senior District Judge Samuel Conti broke the record for longest sitting judge on the Northern District bench over the weekend, surpassing the district's first judge, Ogden Hoffman Jr., who was confirmed in February 1851 and died after serving 40 years, five months and 13 days.
