Abbott Antitrust Suit Goes to Jury

GlaxoSmithKline is asking a federal jury to award it $571.6 million in a trial in which it claims competitor Abbott Laboratories violated antitrust laws by raising the price of an HIV drug.

OAKLAND - When Abbott Laboratories' trial began last month, it was facing off against four sets of plaintiffs who claimed the pharmaceutical company's increase of the price of an HIV drug by 400 percent violated antitrust laws.
