Court Grants Case Over Official's Immunity

The U.S. Supreme Court agreed to decide whether a government official who commits perjury during grand jury testimony is entitled to absolute immunity from a civil rights lawsuit seeking damages.


WASHINGTON - The U.S. Supreme Court agreed to decide whether a government official who commits perjury during grand jury testimony is entitled to absolute immunity from a civil rights lawsuit seeking damages. The case is Rehberg v. Paulk, 10-788, out of the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
