Attorney Honored by NAACP
During its annual Freedom Fund Scholarship and Awards Banquet, the Riverside branch of the NAACP presented Best Best & Krieger LLP attorney Jack B. Clarke with the Omar Stratton Award on Feb. 24 at the Riverside Convention Center. Named for the first president of the branch, the award recognizes an individual who has earned respect from the community. Current branch president Waudieur "Woody" E. Rocker-Hughes said Clarke has gained this respect both in and outside of the courtroom. In addition to his work in education law and public agency litigation, Clarke volunteers on the executive board of the Highlander Athletics Association, which is strives to revive UC Riverside athletics through community support. This was just one of 16 other awards given to honor various community leaders.
