Riverside moves city attorney position in-house
Six months after hiring a part-time interim city attorney for $19,500 a month, Riverside officials announced they are ending their contract with Best Best & Krieger LLP on Friday and putting a city staff attorney in the temporary post.

Riverside will move its city attorney duties in-house after severing its contract with Best Best & Krieger LLP on Friday, the city announced.
The firm's Cristina L. Talley, the interim city attorney in Riverside since last July, will be succeeded by Kristi J. Smith, a supervising deputy city attorney.
