A divided 9th U. S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Thursday granted a reprieve to a legal U.S. resident from Mexico set to be deported over claims that he obstructed justice. In doing so, the court ruled that the Board of Immigration Appeals had created a new and unconstitutionally vague standard defining what crimes constitute obstruction of justice.
