By Richard Chernick California law permits consolidation of separate arbitrations between the same parties, or when one party is a party to two or more proceedings, if the dispute arises from the same transaction or series of related transactions and there is a common issue of law or fact creating the possibility of conflicting rulings by more than one arbitrator. Code of Civil Procedure Section 1281.3.
