Court Vacates Judgment Higher Than Damages

LOS ANGELES - Farzad Yadollahi and Fariborz Biyazaei, two defendants in a breach of contract suit, had a run of bad luck. They missed a 1998 court date, and the judge ordered a default judgment entered against them, which the plaintiffs successfully argued should be $943,000 against the defendants jointly. The trial court denied the defense motion to vacate the judgment.
