'Under God' Is Struck From the Pledge

SAN FRANCISCO - In a pair of powerful religious rights decisions, a federal appeals court held Wednesday that the words "under God" must be wiped from the Pledge of Allegiance and that San Diego's sale of land containing a massive cross improperly favored a group dedicated to preserving the religious symbol.
