Apple withdraws 'app store' trademark complaint against Amazon.com

A trademark infringement case over the phrase "app store" ended abruptly Tuesday after Apple Inc. issued a covenant not to sue Amazon.com Inc. for using the term to describe where to buy mobile software applications on Android phones.
