WASHINGTON - The U.S. Supreme Court declined to get its hands dirty Tuesday over the question of whether a local regulation can stop the City of Los Angeles from sending its sewage sludge to Kern County for recycling.
The case focuses on a Kern County ordinance, passed in 2006, that banned anyone from spreading sewage sludge, also known as biosolids, on unincorporated county land. ...
