Hacking suits against defense firm begin to crumble

Knox Ricksen LLP was accused of hacking its opposing counsel's client files. Its defense, that the files were public and evidence of a health care insurance fraud scheme, has been given credence by waves of indictments.

An insurance fraud defense firm accused of hacking into a rival's client files last year to gain an edge in litigation has been dismissed with prejudice, by stipulation, from one of two suits.
