Court OKs Verdict by Jury That Consulted Bible, Clergy

SAN FRANCISCO - Jurors committed misconduct by consulting Bible passages and religious leaders while deliberating in a death penalty trial, but a divided state Supreme Court ruled Monday the jury wasn't prejudiced by the material and upheld its vote for a death sentence.
