Lawmaker introduces bill to move high court to Sacramento

Newly introduced legislation in the state Assembly would force all state agencies to relocate to Sacramento by 2025 and mandate that the state Supreme Court only hear cases in Sacramento.

SACRAMENTO - Newly introduced legislation in the state Assembly would force all state agencies to relocate to Sacramento by 2025 and mandate that the state Supreme Court only hear cases in Sacramento.


Authored by Assemblyman Martin Garrick, R-Carlsbad, the bill's purpose is to save the state money, according to Garrick's chief of staff, Mike Zimmerman.
