Los Angeles calling fewer jurors to save money

Los Angeles Suprerior Court is calling 10,000 fewer prospective jurors each week in the latest cost-saving move, although some judges have worried the reduction could impact jury selection.

LOS ANGELES - The state's largest trial court has again demonstrated that necessity is indeed the mother of invention.


The latest cost-saving measure at Los Angeles County Superior Court, hit hard by a series of budget cuts, is sure to sound sweet to the general public - far fewer jury summons mailings.
